Calvo Sealing was born in Barcelona with a clear mission: to manufacture sealing solutions that never fail. Today, with over 70 years of history, we remain a company with own-brand manufacturing, accumulated know-how and a vocation for technical excellence.

In 1954, in the industrial heart of Barcelona, Calvo Sealing began its activity as a specialist manufacturer of gaskets and sealing components for the Catalan industry. What started as a local project became, over time, an international reference.
Decades of working alongside the most demanding industrial processes have given us knowledge that cannot be found in catalogues. We know what fails, why it fails and how to prevent it. That knowledge is the core of our solutions.
Today Calvo Sealing operates from its manufacturing plant in Barcelona, with offices in Hungary, LATAM and Morocco. We are manufacturers, not distributors. That gives us the freedom to develop proprietary materials, adapt dimensions and offer solutions that the standard market cannot provide.
Our ICP brand is the testament to that capability: a line of high-performance materials designed, formulated and manufactured entirely by Calvo Sealing.
Isidoro Calvo, together with José Llavador, begins manufacturing packings in Barcelona. The first proprietary braiding machines are born.
Incorporation of "Empaquetaduras Trenzadas I. Calvo" in Hospitalet de Llobregat. A corporate restructuring that consolidates the brand identity.
Relocation to Rubí (350 m²). Integration of state-of-the-art machinery and expansion of the product range.
Awarded ISO 9001 quality certification. First major international recognition.
Relocation to Sant Esteve Sesrovires (2,200 m²). The largest production plant to date.
Rebranded as Calvo Sealing. Opening of a branch in Hungary, marking the start of European expansion.
New branch in Asturias. Consolidation of the national distribution and service network.
ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 certifications. Formal commitment to environmental care and occupational safety.
New branch in the Caribbean. Acquisition of Asil SL. Expansion into Latin American markets.
New branches in Tarragona and Gijón. A network of 6 service points across Spain.
New static gasket manufacturing line. Expansion of production capabilities.
Development of Industrial Services. Plate heat exchangers and advanced technical solutions.
